Secondary
Saint John’s Campus is a thriving campus on the side of a hill with magnificent grounds and facilities to cater for 350+ students from Years 7-12. The notion of preparing young people for life after school and developing the whole child is paramount at the secondary campus. Saint John’s Campus led Whyalla with the move of Year 7s into the secondary setting having done so in 2017.

Canteen Information
We have a canteen providing hot or cold lunch options, plus snacks and drinks at recess and lunchtimes.
Lunch orders are available daily, ordered by placing a lunch order bag in the classroom basket. Children are not permitted to share money or food at school, except with siblings. Class teachers are not responsible for supplying lunch bags.
We follow the 'Right Bite' Guidelines as part of the college Healthy Eating Policy.
Transition to Secondary
Moving from primary to secondary schooling is a symbolic act that we as parents celebrate, but sometimes in a bittersweet way. We recognise the child we have known is changing and that time will now speed up.
Our role as an R-12 college, is to make transition seamless, therefore comfortable enough so that by the time year 7/8 arrives, students feel they know the secondary campus and their sense of 'belonging' is already beginning to establish a feeling of ease.
Music and Band Program
At Samaritan College we have a thriving Band Programme that students can be involved in from years 7 to 12. Students do not need any prior musical knowledge to join this fantastic extra-curricular activity.
The Samaritan College Band Programme is a wonderful opportunity for our students to learn and grow in a musical environment, where they not only develop techniques on their musical instrument, but skills such as teamwork, communication, flexibility, resilience and an overarching sense of fun!
Students have one 30 minute small group instrumental lesson per week, focusing on the Band repertoire. Instruments can be hired from the school at a subsidised cost, or if the family can source its own instrument the programme is free.
The College Band Programme is again being coordinated by Stormfront Productions. Please contact Alison or Mark via the Front Office for more information or email: info@stormfrontproductions.info
