Starting School

Samaritan College offers families with two options for Reception intake each year. The College offers a unique transition program, ensuring that our youngest students have a gentle start to school.

Our Little Stars Program is FREE and open to children aged 3 to 5 years old. This program is part of our school transition and assists in integrating children into the school environment, and further supports them in making the step from kindergarten to school.

RECEPTION Important Dates:

If your child turns 5 on or before the 30 April they can start school in Term 1 of that year.
If your child turns 5 on or before the 31 of October they can start school in Term 3 of that year.
Children starting in Reception in Term 3 will have a minimum of 6 terms in Reception.
Children born after October 31, begin in Term 1 the following year.

Please note that NO fees will be required for new reception students who enrol at our mid-year intake.
